Lecture on Computer Chess
On Wednesday 6 March 2019 Fred Senekal gave a lecture on Computer Chess. The lecture covered the history of computer chess, topics such as opening books and endgame tablebases and the algorithms for evaluation and move generation. The emphasis of the lecture is on how the study of computer algorithms for playing chess can be used to improve a player’s game.
Op Woensdag 6 Maart 2019 het Fred Senekal ‘n lesing aangebied oor Skaakrekenaars. Die lesing het ‘n oorsig gebied oor rekenaar skaak, openingsboeke, eindspel databasisse en die algoritmes om posisies te evalueer en en skuiwe te genereer. Die fokus van die lesing is hoe die studie van rekenaar algoritmes om skaak te speel gebruik kan word om ‘n speler se spel te verbeter.
